Sixty Year Hailwood Commemoration at Castle Combe Circuit
David Hailwood will open Sundays “Mikes Bikes” tribute parade featuring many of the bikes rode in his racing career.
The list of bikes which will feature include:
From the 50’s
The actual 125 MV mike raced here in 1957
A DOHC 125cc Ducati of the type Mike rode in his first Grand Prix
Mikes 1958 Thruxton 500 winning Triumph Bonneville ridden by TV’s Henry Cole
From the 60’s
The 297cc Honda six to be ridden by Guy Martin
The 250cc Honda four to be ridden by Stuart Graham
The 500cc Honda four to be ridden by Freddie Spencer. Freddie will also ride his 80’s Rothmans Honda
Plus on display will be a very rare 285cc Honda four not seen at a circuit for over 50 years
An exact replica of Mikes 500cc Lancefield Norton
A genuine ex-factory 250c MZ
From the 70’s
Mikes Sports Motorcycles 1978 TT winning Ducati
A 350cc MV3
An original TZ 700.Mike used the same model in the 1977 Manx GP qualifying sessions
Mikes 750 cc BSA as ridden at the Daytona 500
The 500cc ex-factory 500cc Yamaha
A Suzuki RG 500—of the type of Mike’s last TT win.
A highlight of the meeting will be Sundays Parade - featuring possibly the finest bikes and riders ever seen on the circuit together.
